It’s almost impossible to conceive of a time when Ergobaby wasn’t part of our mama lexicons. And yet, the brand was only founded in 2002, when new mom Karin Frost found herself unsatisfied with the baby-carrying options available to her. She wanted to keep her son close to her, while also making sure she was comfortable and that her back and posture were well-looked after. With a background in design, she set out to create a carrier that was both comfortable and easy for parents to use. And so the uniquely ergonomic, comfortable design of the Ergobaby Baby Carrier was born, and with it, a revolution began. Frost’s soft structured carrier (SSC) design has become the gold standard in baby-carrying. Each carrier is designed specifically so babies can sit in a natural seated position, to evenly distribute their weight between your hips and shoulders.
