Domestic Returns and Refunds Policy (for orders shipped within the United States)

Prepaid Return Service
Please visit: thetot.com/returns to initiate your return.
- You have 30 days from when you received your order to have your items sent back to us. Orders past 30 days will not be accepted.
- All products must be in their original packaging and not used or damaged to be accepted for return.
Return for Refund:
- The cost of return shipping is $9.95 for any number of items and will be deducted from your refund.
- Once we receive your return, we will issue a refund to the original form of payment.
- Due to different payment providers it may take 10-15 business days for this to appear on your statement.
Return for Credit and Gift Returns:
- The $9.95 return shipping fee will be waived for store credit returns or gift returns.
- Credit will be emailed to you within five business days of receiving the return.
- Credit is valid for six months
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns on the following:
- Products with a manufacturer’s warranty;
- Products that have been personalized or made to your specification
- Sale items
- Breast pumps and toilet training merchandise
- Exclusive collaborations
- Large and heavy items as noted on the product page
Products that are not returnable are clearly marked on the product page.
Products that do not meet these criteria or are returned in a non-sellable condition will be donated.
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders shipped outside the United States. For more information on international returns, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you receive a damaged or defective product, please notify us immediately for assistance using the contact details below.
If you would like to exchange your product for an alternative please complete the process outlined above. We will process your refund and you can complete a new order online for the replacement products.
We will refund the items returned less the original shipping fee charged and the return shipping fee of $9.95.
Once your return is received it will be processed within 10-12 business days. Refunds will be credited to your original payment method unless it is a return for credit or gift return.
Domestic Shipping (for orders shipped within the United States)
Free standard shipping on orders over $75 within the contiguous U.S.!*
Standard shipping is $9.95 for orders under $75 and free for orders over $75 to all destinations within the United States excluding Alaska and Hawaii. In order to qualify for free shipping, your subtotal must be $75 or less before shipping , discounts and taxes have been applied. Free Standard Shipping will be automatically applied to your merchandise total over $75, per shipment in the contiguous U.S. Qualifying purchase amount is calculated after all applicable discounts.
Oversize and freight shipping surcharges may apply to some items due to their size and weight. The surcharge will be noted on the product page. Brands with non-standard, oversize and freight shipping include, Nursery Works, Babyletto, Ubabub, Monte, Oeuf furniture, Jenny Walker, Maison Deux, Plan Toys, Jupiduu and Ferm Living.
Not valid on shipments to US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, APO, FPO or PO Boxes. The Tot reserves the right to cancel any promotion at any time.
Alaska and Hawaii: Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is 70% of total order value. Please note some Hape items will be unable to ship to Hawaii. Babyletto, Nursery Works, Ubabub and Million Dollar Baby Classics are unable to ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
Standard shipping packages arrive within 3-7 business days. Heavier items may take longer, with delivery timeframes listed in both the product page and your cart.
Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii also take additional time.
Unfortunately we cannot deliver to PO Boxes, APO/FPO/DPO addresses.
The Tot is not responsible for lost or stolen packages that are successfully delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer.
Once an order has been processed and a tracking number assigned, we are unable to make any further changes to the order. Please email email@example.com if you need to update your order before a tracking number is assigned.
Free standard shipping for My Tots members
For customers that complete their My Tots profile by adding birthday information for at least one child along with selecting their purpose for shopping on The Tot – The Tot will provide free standard shipping for all orders made in 2019. The My Tots profile can be found under My Account once signed in.
Free shipping is only available within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico and does not apply to heavy items that have a shipping surcharge. Products with a shipping surcharge are noted on the product page.
The Tot reserves the right to cancel any promotion at any time.
International Shipping and Returns
Unfortunately we do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders shipped outside the United States, unless the merchandise is defective. All international orders are final sale. For more information on international returns, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Introductory Offer & Special Promotion Codes
Offer valid for online orders only unless specifically noted and valid for single use per customer. Offer cannot be combined with other offers or promotions, and may not be used toward gift cards or applied to previous purchases. Offer applies to merchandise only and cannot be applied toward shipping and handling charges, taxes and fees, and is not redeemable for cash. To redeem this offer, customer must enter code at checkout. Offer is subject to modification at any time without notice.
Brands excluded from promotion codes include: Halo, GB Pockit, Nuna, Bloom, Fiona Walker England, Bugaboo, Cybex, Bumbleride, Lovevery, Monte, Clek, Three Pears, Stokke, Babyzen, Doona, Veer, Tokyobikes and 4moms.
GIFT CARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Gift Card Number is for online or in store use and cannot be applied to international orders shipping outside the continental U.S.
The following Terms and Conditions govern your use of The Tot Gift Card.
- The Tot Gift Cards may be treated the same as cash.
- The Tot Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash, nor can they be returned for a cash refund or used to purchase additional gift cards.
- Upon redemption, any unused balance will remain on the gift card for future purchases.
- Sales tax is applicable on any merchandise purchased with a Tot Gift Card if shipping to TX, NJ, and NY.
- The Tot is not responsible for lost or stolen Tot Gift Cards.
- The Tot reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or hold gift cards and orders for suspected fraud, for cards mistakenly issued in an incorrect denomination, or for other violations of gift card policies.
- The Tot is not liable for delivery of an Electronic Gift Card to an incorrect or non-existent email address, this is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
- Promo codes and other discounts may not be used to purchase gift cards. If merchandise items are included with your order of a gift card, the coupon value will only apply to merchandise items.
- The Tot Gift Card is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
