Domestic Returns and Refunds Policy (for orders shipped within the United States)

Thank you for shopping at The Tot. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.

Prepaid Return Service

Please visit: thetot.com/returns to initiate your return.

  • You have 30 days from when you received your order to have your items sent back to us. Orders past 30 days will not be accepted.
  • All products must be in their original packaging and not used or damaged to be accepted for return.

Return for Refund:

  • The cost of return shipping is $9.95 for any number of items and will be deducted from your refund.
  • Once we receive your return, we will issue a refund to the original form of payment less the original shipping fee charged and the additional return shipping fee of $9.95.
  • Due to different payment providers it may take 10-15 business days for this to appear on your statement.

Return for Credit and Gift Returns:

  • The $9.95 return shipping fee will be waived for store credit returns or gift returns.
  • Credit will be emailed to you within five business days of receiving the return.
  • Credit is valid for 12 months

Non-Returnable Items

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns on the following:

  • Products with a manufacturer’s warranty;
  • Products that have been personalized or made to your specification
  • Sale items
  • Breast pumps and toilet training merchandise
  • Exclusive collaborations
  • Furniture
  • Underwear
  • Large and heavy items as noted on the product page

Products that are not returnable are clearly marked on the product page.

Products that do not meet these criteria or are returned in a non-sellable condition will be donated.

Price Adjustments

Prior purchases are not eligible for price adjustments, regardless of whether the item has yet to ship.

Damaged Items

If you receive a damaged or defective product, please email customerservice@thetot.com.

Exchanges

We currently do not offer exchanges. Please initiate a return for credit using the prepaid return service above. We will process your refund and you can complete a new order online for the replacement products using your store credit.

Extended Return Policy for Registry Returns

We will gladly extend the return policy to 90 days from the date of your event for eligible items purchased from your Tot registry.

Package Refusals

Packages that are refused will be charged a $9.95 return shipping fee before a refund is issued.

International Returns

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders shipped outside the United States. For more information on international returns, please email customerservice@thetot.com.

Personalized Items

If a customer requests for a personalized item to be remade a remake fee of $20 plus $9.95 return shipping will be charged. A remake of personalized items will be at The Tot’s discretion and is not guaranteed.

Domestic Shipping (for orders shipped within the United States)

Free standard shipping on orders over $75 within the contiguous U.S.!*

Standard shipping is $9.95 for orders under $75 and free for orders over $75 to all destinations within the contiguous United States (excluding Alaska & Hawaii). In order to qualify for free shipping, your subtotal must be $75 or more after discounts have been applied and will be automatically applied to your total at checkout. Qualifying purchase amount of $75 does not include shipping or taxes.

Oversize and freight shipping surcharges may apply to some items due to their size and weight regardless of the purchase amount. The surcharge will be noted on the product page. Brands with non-standard, oversize and freight shipping include, Million Dollar Baby, Nursery Works, Babyletto, Ubabub, Monte, Oeuf furniture, Jenny Walker, Maison Deux, Plan Toys, Jupiduu, Kidkii and Ferm Living.

Unfortunately we no longer ship to the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, APO/ FPO/ DPO addresses.

Standard shipping packages arrive within 5-7 business days. Heavier items may take longer, with delivery timeframes listed in both the product page and your cart.

Lost Packages

The Tot is not responsible for lost or stolen packages that are successfully delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer.

Order Changes

Once an order has been processed and a tracking number assigned, we are unable to make any further changes to the order. Please email customerservice@thetot.com if you need to update your order before a tracking number is assigned.

 

Free standard shipping for My Tots members
For customers that complete their My Tots profile by adding birthday information for at least one child along with selecting their purpose for shopping on The Tot – The Tot will provide free standard shipping for all orders made in 2019. The My Tots profile can be found under My Account once signed in.

Free shipping is only available within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico and does not apply to heavy items that have a shipping surcharge. Products with a shipping surcharge are noted on the product page.

The Tot reserves the right to cancel any promotion at any time.

International Shipping and Returns

We’re happy to announce that we now ship internationally to over 200 countries. Please click here to visit our FAQ page for international orders.

Unfortunately we do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders shipped outside the United States, unless the merchandise is defective. All international orders are final sale. For more information on international returns, please email returns@thetot.com.
