Lovelane creator, Lane Huerta, began dreaming and designing in rural North Carolina, where as an only child, entertaining herself was the only option. Imagining adventures in the woods behind her house, she counts Pippi Longstocking and Punky Brewster as her earliest inspirations. Launching her Southern upbringing into the dynamic cloister of Boston’s Walnut Hill School for the Arts in her early years, she studied foundations and met creative kids from all over the world. A self-taught seamstress, after attending UNC School for the Arts, Lane set off out West, where she added textiles to her toolbox and designed and creative her now famous cape. Her penchant for a bright and blocky aesthetic allowed her to be featured in 2014 on Etsy.com, and a demand for her hand sewn, American made capes and crowns soared, and the rest is history. Lane continues to work, live and play in Savannah with her husband, Patrick, and her daughter, Clementine. Together they imagine the most amazing adventures!
