After the birth of her second child, Rachelle Hruska MacPherson turned to embroidery, something she learned from her grandmother, to help with her postpartum anxiety. Lingua Franca, which translates to “a common language between speakers whose native languages are different” was chosen as the name of the brand because of Rachelle’s belief that we need to respect our differences and find the things that are common denominators.
