After the birth of her second child, Rachelle Hruska MacPherson turned to embroidery, something she learned from her grandmother, to help with her postpartum anxiety. Little did she know that her first stitch would quickly evolve into a brand famous for creating cashmere sweaters that start conversations and inspire social change. Lingua Franca, which translates to “a common language between speakers whose native languages are different” was chosen as the name of the brand because of Rachelle’s belief that we need to respect our differences and find the things that are common denominators. Today, Lingua Franca’s line of sustainably-sourced, fair trade luxury cashmere sweaters are all hand-stitched by women in NY.
Perfect for the Christmas and holiday season, the Lingua Franca Kid’s Cashmere Sweater is made of ultra soft and sustainably sourced 100% cashmere and hand embroidered in New York.
