After struggling to find beautiful, simple, quality sun protective swimwear for her three children, Constance, a happy French mom living in Paris, created Canopea in 2016. Self confessed hopeless optimists, the team behind Canopea believes high quality and environmental responsibility go hand in hand and that style is timeless. All at least UPF 50+, Canopea garments are made by hand in Europe from Econyl®, a 100% recycled fiber in workshops that respect safe work conditions. “Canopea” refers to the upper level of the tropical forest. This ecosystem, rich in biodiversity, captures the majority of solar energy, allowing younger plants to grow safely protected by elder trees. This is the energy that Canopea aims to transmit to children, while making sure they remain safe.
Made with recycled materials, the Canopea Matilda Bikini Bottom is easy to mix and match with any top and has been designed to be chlorine, seawater and sun cream resistant.
