As a long time admirer of Laia Aguilar’s art and design work for Bobo Choses, Jan Andreu knew she was the perfect person to help conceptualize and manifest a new fashion brand for children. With the aim of creating pieces that act as an artistic tool for children to express themselves through, the pair created The Animals Observatory, which is quickly proving to be an emotive and timeless brand. Children and adults alike are drawn to its sense of playfulness, comfort and aesthetic pleasure, all based on the philosophy of an old motto that Laia often repeats to her children: ‘Be a good animal, true to your instincts.’
