The following Terms and Conditions govern your use of The Tot Gift Card.
- The Gift Card Number is for online or in store use and cannot be applied to international orders shipping outside the continental U.S.
- The Tot Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash, nor can they be returned for a cash refund or used to purchase additional gift cards.
- Upon redemption, any unused balance will remain on the gift card for future purchases.
- Sales tax is applicable on any merchandise purchased with a Tot Gift Card if shipping to California, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.
- The Tot is not responsible for lost or stolen Tot Gift Cards.
- The Tot reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or hold gift cards and orders for suspected fraud, for cards mistakenly issued in an incorrect denomination, or for other violations of gift card policies.
- The Tot is not liable for delivery of an Electronic Gift Card to an incorrect or non-existent email address, this is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
- Promo codes and other discounts may not be used to purchase gift cards. If merchandise items are included with your order of a gift card, the coupon value will only apply to merchandise items.
- The Tot Gift Card is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

What happens if I make a return?
If you need to return part or all of your order, Klarna will issue you with a new statement. Simply follow the retailer’s return instructions and make sure to take note of the tracking number. Log into your Klarna account, select “report a return”, and we’ll pause your statement. As soon as the retailer has processed your return, we will send an adjusted invoice.
There’s something wrong with my order. Do I still need to pay for it?
You do not need to pay for goods that are received damaged, broken, or defective. Follow the retailer’s dispute instructions and “report a problem” in your Klarna account to pause your statement until the issue is resolved. As soon as the retailer has registered your return, the refund will be processed within 5-7 business days.
I have not received my order. What happens to my statement?
You do not need to pay the statement until you have received your order. Contact the retailer for a delivery update, log into your Klarna account, and “report a problem” to pause your statement until you’ve received your order.
My statement is incorrect. What should I do?
If your statement does not match your order details, please contact the retailer directly to correct your statement. Log into your Klarna account and “report a problem” to pause your statement until the details have been corrected.

Personalized orders must be cancelled within 3 days of order date otherwise final sale terms apply. For all other orders, we are unable to make any further changes once an order has begun being fulfilled by the relevant warehouse.

Unfortunately most of our brand partners no longer ship to the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, APO/ FPO/ DPO or PO Box addresses.
Oversize and Heavy Item Shipping
Oversize and freight shipping surcharges may apply to some items due to their size and weight regardless of the purchase amount. The surcharge will be noted on the product page. Brands with non-standard, oversize and freight shipping include: Milk Street Baby, Million Dollar Baby, Nursery Works, Babyletto, Ubabub, Monte, Oeuf furniture, Jenny Walker, Maison Deux, Plan Toys, Plum, Jupiduu, Kidkii, Balu and Ferm Living.
Unless “White Glove service” is specifically noted on the product page or cart, the oversize or heavy item shipping surcharge means delivery to your door only. The oversize freight charge is a surcharge the delivery company places on the item as it cannot be delivered through UPS or FedEx because of the products size.
White Glove delivery service means the item will be delivered directly to your desired room in your home.
Shipping Costs within the United States
Free standard shipping on all orders over $75 within the contiguous U.S (excludes Alaska & Hawaii).
Standard shipping is $9.95 for orders under $75.
In order to qualify for free shipping, your subtotal must be $75 or more after discounts have been applied and will be automatically applied to your total at checkout. Qualifying purchase amount of $75 does not include shipping or taxes.

Route Protect
In an effort to provide more safety, assurance, and insurance for our customers, we have now integrated with Route Package Protection.
Route is a shipping insurance company that offers complete protection for The Tot shipments and orders.
For your protection, Route Protect is automatically added at checkout so you can easily file issues for lost, stolen, or damaged packages in the unfortunate case that they arise. If you do not want to purchase Route Protect, it can easily be removed from your cart by clicking on the REMOVE button.

International Orders – Returns Policy
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders shipped outside the United States. All international orders are final sale.

Price Adjustments
Prior purchases are not eligible for price adjustments, regardless of whether the item has yet to ship.
Personalized Item Remake
If a customer requests for a personalized item to be remade a remake fee of $20 plus $9.95 return shipping will be charged. A remake of personalized items will be at The Tot’s discretion and is not guaranteed.
Extended Return Policy for Registry Returns
We will gladly extend the return policy to 90 days from the date of your event for eligible items purchased from your Tot registry.
Exchanges
We currently do not offer exchanges.
Please initiate a return for credit using the free prepaid return service here.
We will process your refund and you can complete a new order online for the replacement products using your store credit.
Lost Packages
The Tot is not responsible for lost or stolen packages that are successfully delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer.
We offer ROUTE insurance for all packages and strongly encourage you to add this to your cart during checkout to ensure coverage in the event something happens to your package once it leaves our facilities.

Damaged Items
If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us via our help form here.
We cannot replace a damaged items after 90 days from when the item was delivered.
Free Returns Service (US Orders Only)
Prepaid Return Service
Please contact us here to start your return on any applicable items.
- You have 60 days from when you received your order to have your items sent back to us. Orders past 60 days will not be accepted.
- All products must be in their original packaging and not used or damaged to be accepted for return.
- Please note that some items are final sale and can’t be returned or exchanged.
Extended Holiday Returns Period
Any items purchased between November 9th, 2022 and December 24, 2022 will be eligible for our extended returns policy. Customers and gift recipients will have until January 31st, 2023 to return any items not marked final sale.
Gift Returns
If you are returning a gift and do not want the purchaser to be notified of the return, please select “Start a Gift Return”.
Non-Returnable Items
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns on the following:
- Products with a manufacturer’s warranty;
- Products that have been personalized or made to your specification
- Sale items
- Breast pumps and toilet training merchandise
- Exclusive collaborations
- Furniture
- Underwear
- Large and heavy items as noted on the product page
Products that are not returnable are clearly marked Final Sale on the product and cart page.
Products that do not meet these criteria or are returned in a non-sellable condition will be donated and no refund or credit offered.
Return for Refund:
Once we receive your return, we will issue a refund to the original form of payment less the original shipping fee charged.
Due to different payment providers it may take 10-15 business days for this to appear on your statement.
Return for Credit and Gift Returns:
Credit will be emailed to you within five business days of receiving the return and is valid for 12 months.
Free standard shipping will be offered on all return for credit and gift returns
Package Refusals
Packages that are refused will be charged a $9.95 return shipping fee before a refund is issued.

Can I use Borderfree to ship an order internationally but pay my local currency?
Yes, Borderfree supports international gift-giving, in that you can receive a guaranteed order total for an order that is shipping internationally, but pay in your local currency. This also works if you’re traveling or living abroad.
What payment options does Borderfree support?

Are there any items that cannot ship to my country because they are restricted?

The Tot Rewards Program – VIP Tiers

How do I become a Tot Rewards Program member?

How does it work?

I can’t log into my account! What should I do?
At the Existing Member login screen at thetot.com/my-account/, click “I forgot my password?” to reset your password. From there, you’ll need to verify your email address and you’ll receive an email that will lead you through the process to get you back into your account. Can I transfer or merge my points between two separate accounts?
While you can accrue points on two or more separate accounts (depending on which account you’re logged in with), you cannot transfer or merge points.
How do I access exclusive access to sales, member-exclusive gifts, offers and first access to events?
For The Tot Rewards members, the exclusive offers will be announced in our newsletter. Make sure you’re subscribed to our newsletters and add us to your contact list so they don’t end up in your spam folder!
I have enough points! Why can’t I redeem my points?
Make sure you’re signed in to your customer account prior to checking out and have at least 500 points. If, after signing in, the drop-down doesn’t appear on your cart, please clear your browser’s cache and cookies. After you do so, please sign back into your account and the drop-down menu to redeem your items. If you still have issues, please contact us via our help form here.
What happens to my points if I make a return?
When you return an item, you lose the associated points you originally earned by purchasing the item.
Can I earn points on past purchases?
Points will not be applied to orders placed before 11/17/2020. You can earn points on all future purchases when signed into your account.

Do I have to enroll or register in individual promotions?
No. Once you register for an account, you’re all set – we don’t require you to register for individual promotions in order to be eligible. Just fulfill the requirements of a promotion, and we’ll post the points to your account immediately.

Terms & Conditions
The Tot Rewards Program (“Program”) is designed to show appreciation for you, our loyal customers. By using rewards granted through your membership in this program you are accepting the following terms and conditions and all future versions which will be available on Thetot.com. The Tot reserves the right to modify the Program or eliminate benefits at any time without prior notice.
The Program is open to any person with a valid address who is aged 18 years or older. There is no fee to join or to maintain membership.
To sign up online click here to create an account. When you create an account, you will automatically be enrolled in the Program.
During the course of your membership you may update your personal information by logging in to your online account. Members are solely responsible for keeping their profile information current.
Each Member is permitted only one program membership, and neither memberships nor rewards are transferable.
Rewards Program benefits
Each time you sign in to your account and make purchases on TheTot.com you will earn reward points based on dollars spent, excluding Shipping and Taxes. You must be signed in to your account prior to checkout in order to earn points. Points will not be applied to orders placed before 11/17/2020. Other exclusions may apply. Please allow up to 48 hours for your points to appear on your Account page.
Points may be used to acquire certain Program Benefits. Points and Benefits will change from time to time and some may be offered on a limited basis. Any rewards and benefits offered under the Program are subject to change at any time at our sole discretion. You can view the current Benefits on The Tot Rewards Program page here. The Tot is not responsible for Program benefits that are not received as a result of loss or if you don’t maintain accurate personal information with us, and such Benefits will not be reissued.
Program rewards have no cash value, cannot be sold and are non-transferable. Only the Program Member who is paying for the Qualifying Purchase may accumulate rewards and benefits and only the Program Member may redeem rewards that have accumulated in that Member’s account. The sale, barter, transfer or assignment of any reward or benefit offered through the Program, other than by The Tot, is expressly prohibited and will be cause for termination of your participation in the Program.
Marketing Communications
Members who enroll in The Tot Rewards Program agree to receive Program-specific marketing and status updates as well as other promotional emails and marketing from The Tot. In order to receive the full Program benefits, you must remain opted-in to our general marketing and Program marketing communications and our Program-specific marketing communications via e-mail and direct mail at all times. If you elect to opt-out of e-mail or direct mail marketing communications, your Membership will remain active, but you can miss out on time sensitive exclusive offers and won’t be able to use them retroactively.
To stop receiving promotional emails from The Tot, you may use the unsubscribe option in any such email, or go to the My Account page to update your communications preferences. By unsubscribing, you are only opting out of marketing communications; we may still communicate with you regarding your Program status or transactions or your other transactions with us.
The information we collect will be used to help us provide a more personalized shopping experience and customized discounts applicable to purchases. Any personal information provided to the Program will be governed by the The Tot privacy policy at thetot.com/privacy-policy/.
We value and respect your privacy. The personal information that we collect from you in connection with the Program is subject to our privacy policy and will be used and disclosed by us for the purpose of administration of the Program, providing you with any rewards or benefits that you redeem under the Program, marketing in connection with the Program, other marketing communications that you have opted in to receive and as otherwise permitted by our privacy policy.
Program termination, cancellation or modification
The Tot reserves the right to change or modify the Program, its Benefits or this Agreement from time to time in its sole discretion and without any further obligation to our Members. Updates shall be effective on the date they are posted The Tot Rewards Program page and you agree that such posting constitutes valid and effective notification method and no further notice methods are required; continued use of your Membership after such date constitutes acceptance of all such changes. We may also, as a courtesy only, send updates via e-mail or notify you that there are updates the next time you make a purchase; doing so does not create any obligation on our part to do so again in the future. If you disagree with any changes, your sole remedy is to cancel your Membership in the Program.
If you decide that you no longer want to participate in the Program, you may cancel your membership at any time. Please contact us via our help form here. Please allow up to 5 days for this to become activated.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to terminate any member from the Program for any reason, including but not limited to, a member’s failure to comply with these Terms, the Terms of Use of the The Tot website, any suspected abuse of the Program, illegal activity, fraud or other conduct that we may deem to be inconsistent with these Terms and/or the Program. If your membership in the Program is cancelled by you or terminated by us, you will lose all accrued rewards or benefits in your account at the time of such cancellation or termination.
The Tot may terminate this Program or limit participation, each in whole, or in part, in our sole discretion, at any time without notice. If the Program is terminated or so modified, all accrued Rewards or offers in any affected account(s) will be available for use through their individual expiration dates, in accordance with the terms of this Agreement and their individual terms.

How does the program work?
The Tot Rewards Members can earn additional benefits by participating in The Tot’s refer-a-friend program.
Send qualified Friends a link that will entitle them to $25 off their purchase of $100 or more on TheTot.com. Please note that the value of the purchase must be greater than $100 after the discount code is applied and excluding shipping and taxes.
When your friend activates the coupon, and the value of their purchase is greater than $100 after the discount code is applied and excluding shipping and taxes you will receive 2,500 points in your account (value $25) for your own purchase.
To participate, sign in to your account at TheTot.com, click on Refer A Friend or visit thetot.com/refer-a-friend/ and follow the instructions to submit referrals by entering their names and email addresses in the Refer-a-Friend box.
Each qualified Friend you enter will then receive an emailed invitation with instructions on how to redeem their offer. You may refer as many Friends as you like and receive as many referral rewards as you qualify for.
When your friend clicks the link provided, a pop-up will appear with their special referral coupon to be entered at check-out. Please note that the referral code will start with “referral-” and a sequence of numbers and letters.
