When it comes to keeping kids warm and stylish during the holidays, nothing beats a classic sweater. Easy to pull on and off, they can make a statement on their own or simply complement what’s happening on the bottom half. For the AW 19/20 season, the pieces I’m obsessed with are evoking nostalgia with vintage inspired patterns, stitching and prints. They’re also featuring fun touches like oversized ruffle collars, hoods or pops of fluorescent colors. All of these special details bring that little bit of extra we all love at the moment.
With a mix of cashmere, merino wool, viscose and cotton, all of these sweaters are naturally hypoallergenic, soft and easy to wear. I know first hand how hard it is to try to get a child to wear something made of itchy fabric, so don’t fret – these sweaters truly are itch free! They’re also all hand-knitted, hand dyed, eco-friendly and fair trade. It’s always important for me to know that the pieces I put on myself and my kids are non-toxic, sustainable and ethically made. I also love knowing that something made to this level of artisanship and quality can be passed down from sibling to sibling or friend to friend.
