Introducing Greentom: The World’s First Truly Eco-Friendly Stroller
Made from recycled drink bottles and bio-plastic, Greentom strollers are sustainably produced, 100% recyclable and designed for the future in every possible way.
After many years designing strollers for big companies in the nursery industry, Greentom founder, Bart Bost, wanted to make a difference in the world when setting out to conceptualize the Greentom stroller. He wanted something that could be 100% sustainably produced, was 100% recyclable and 100% durable. (It also needed to be comfortable and look amazing.) Bart and his team firmly believe that it is our job to keep the world safe and healthy for our children, which is why they are pioneering the way of eco-friendly and non-toxic strollers with Greentom.
By innovatively using recycled PET plastic and bio-plastic, Greentom products are not only comfortable, stylish and functional, but also non-toxic, sustainable and affordable. The frame is made from recycled polypropene, which is super strong, elastic, resilient and makes your stroll steady and smooth. With double ball-bearing shock-absorbing wheels, you’ll be as manoeuvrable as city life or country life requires. The fabric used for the seats is made from recycled PET plastic drink bottles and is non-toxic, soft, easy to clean and has a UPF of 50+. Since Greentom clearly has your family’s needs in mind – it’s also removable and machine washable.
Another way Greentom is being kind to the earth is by engineering stroller components that can be produced anywhere in the world to minimize transportation. All Greentom products and accessories are US certified and free of BPA, PVC, Lead, Phthalates and comply with the most stringent child safety measures. From safety harness to beltpads to one-step-break, the Greentom stroller has been designed with your child’s safety, comfort and future in mind.
Now let’s look at the different configurations and features:
Seating Option 1: Carrycot
The carrycot is designed for newborns who like to lay flat and face their parent. For comfort, the mattress in the carrycot attachment is made of organic cotton, flax and wool, which is non-toxic, sustainable and great at helping regulate your child’s body temperature. All of the wool used by Greentom is sourced from sheep that are raised organically in the Northern part of Holland and the flax is organically grown. By using this Carrycot you recycle 31 drinking bottles (16.5 lbs of recycled plastic!)
Seating Option 2: Reversible
In the Reversible seat, your little one can face you or explore the world in 5 possible positions. The seat switches directions seamlessly and fully reclines both ways so your precious passenger is able to go from A to Zzzzzz, stay out of the harsh sun or take in the scenery. By using the Reversible seat you recycle 51 drinking bottles (16.5 lbs of recycled plastic!)
Seating Option 3: Your Car Seat
The Greentom car seat adapter turns the Greentom frame and your car seat into a convenient and safe travel system in a matter of seconds. The car seat adapters are made of high quality recycled plastic, a material that is safe, sustainable and strong. By using the car seat adapters you recycle 0.37 lbs of plastic!
