8 Creative Ways To Celebrate Mother’s Day At Home
Stuck at home for Mother’s Day? No worries! Let your family know loud and clear how they can pamper you…
Don’t let social distancing get you down this Mother’s Day! There are plenty of ways your family can make you feel like the queen that you are.
If you don’t trust them to devise a great pampering plan on their own, print out this article and subtly leave it lying on the kitchen counter. You could also drop super-obvious hints, such as, “GOSH, I heard that Lisa’s family are doing [your wish] for Mother’s Day! It just sounds so wonderful. Lucky Lisa.” Hehehe… you’ll never be told, “We can’t read your mind, Mom!” ever again.
Here are eight ways your family can show you that you’re the best mom ever. Let the indulgence begin…
Make your breakfast
Hint very loudly that this should NOT happen before 8am. Once you’ve had your well-deserved sleep-in, your family can present you with your tray of steaming coffee and yummy goodies. Be prepared to share your treats and be showered with hugs.
Be Mom for a day
Make a list of ALL the tasks you accomplish every day and give it to your family. Watch their jaws drop when they realize how much you do! Let them divide the tasks and kick back while they get everything done.
Do not – I repeat, DO NOT – help them in any way. Don’t even chop onions for dinner! You deserve the break and they’ll appreciate how much you do every day when they fall into bed exhausted that night.
Give you a pedicure or a massage
Ask your kids to set up a “home spa” complete with a menu of indulgent treatments. Decided on a pedicure? Kick it off with a moisturizing foot massage. We love Erbaviva’s Refreshing Foot Balm with its organic grapefruit, ginger and cypress oils.
If you prefer a back massage to relieve your aching muscles, Erbaviva’s Mama Relax Oil features calming lavender and rejuvenating almond oils. By then end of your “treatment”, your skin will be beautifully moisturized and silky smooth.
Prepare an indoor picnic
Even small children can help set up a picnic blanket and prepare a plate of tasty morsels to be shared. Take family photos during your picnic and have the best one framed.
Soothe your pregnant or postnatal body
If you’re pregnant or you’ve just had a baby, you might be having a hard time prioritizing self-care during isolation. There’s nothing like a mama pamper pack to lift your spirits.
includes a super-hydrating belly oil, a cooling gel for tired feet and legs, and a healing balm for chapped nipples and lips. Evereden’s Mama Collection features a multi-purpose healing balm, a nourishing stretch mark cream, and a lifting and firming lotion. Kate McLeod’s Mama Stone moisturizer is made with five medicinal-grade, plant-based ingredients to soothe dehydrated skin.
Make a special gift
Nothing warms a mama’s heart more than a card or artwork made by her children. Ask your partner to help them frame their masterpieces so you can display them proudly in your home.
Run a relaxing bath
Let your little ones set up a peaceful haven in your bathroom complete with a warm bath, candles and your favorite book. Erbaviva’s Mama Relax Oat Bath is made with four ultra-nourishing organic ingredients that will relax and rejuvenate your body and mind.
Let you watch Netflix in your PJs all day
OK, all day might be a little ambitious, but at least for a couple of hours! A brand-new pair of cozy PJS will make the experience complete.
