Nasiba: What’s On My Kids’ Wish List For Santa
Need a little gift-giving inspiration? The Tot Founder and mama of three, Nasiba Adilova, shares what’s on her children’s wish lists for Santa. From an indoor balance beam to small world story scenes, you’ll find ideas for toddlers and big kids!
With Christmas just around the corner, my kids have been reminding me what they want from Santa.
While they’re mostly focused on all the fun they’re going to have when choosing a toy, I tend to focus on what it’s made of and how it’s going to help them developmentally.
As an advocate of play-based learning, I like to give my kids toys that are going to enable them to reach important milestones, gain coordination, hone fine motor skills, expand their vocabulary, build their confidence and provide a sensory experience. I also like to choose toys that are made with materials that are non-toxic.
At The Tot, we never use or recommend anything that contains any of the chemicals that we avoid. When it comes to toys, we always steer clear of the following chemicals because of their negative health effects:
- BPA + BPS
- PVC
- Harmful phthalates
- Formaldehyde
- Lead & other heavy metals
Click here to read the full list of chemicals we avoid and why.
Thankfully, the brands we love are making toys that tick all of our boxes: fun, educational and most importantly non-toxic!
