What nursery style are you?

Whether you’re a modern minimalist or a classic clutterer, we’ve got five nursery styles to inspire your baby’s bedroom.

Nurserystyle

Designing and furnishing your baby’s nursery is one of the best parts of, “nesting,” however, it can become quite overwhelming with all of the options out there. Not only do you need to choose a color scheme or theme, you also need to choose a bassinet, crib, rocking chair, décor, toys and storage. Not to worry – we’ve found six different styles that are all gender neutral and ready for your personal touch.

Just remember – there are many trends you could follow – monochrome, grey and white, modern, traditional, educational, tropical, planetary, animals, pink, blue…. the list could go on and on! But YOU will also be spending a lot of time in there, so it’s important to make sure it’s suitable for your needs as well as your child’s. Also – your baby will be a toddler before you know it, so try to choose things that will grow with your family.

We love this look because it is a whimsical way to bring fairy tale magic to your child’s world. It’s gender neutral and can be styled with your baby’s favorite animals, colors and textures to stimulate them while they play or drift off to sleep.

Try pairing a funky wallpaper with simple furniture to keep the room balanced, but don’t be afraid to mix and match prints when it comes to bedding, wall hangings and toys.

OeufFawnBassinetBirch1

You can do this look two ways – a charcoal grey base or charcoal grey accents. Either way it’s a fabulous look for a boy or a girl with the right accessories. We love the contrast of floral bedding or fun wall hangings or a more monochrome feel with black & white accessories.

We especially love the way lighter or more raw timber looks with the grey. The Fawn crib and bassinet system is pretty amazing as it starts as a bassinet on wheels and can be converted into a full sized crib! See more fun ideas below.

If you’re strapped for space, this is a great design because you can add in a kids size table and chair set, like the one from Oeuf or a storage container (that can be hung on the wall or sat on a table) like the one from Boon. This look means less is more (and by less we mean this cool Antelope Head Wall-Mount.) See below for more ideas!
