Winter Vacation Packing List: Nasiba’s Picks
Going away for the holidays? The Tot Founder and mama of three, Nasiba Adilova, is here to tell you what she packs to keep her family warm, cozy, in style and entertained during the winter months. Whether you’re driving, flying or catching a train – her list has everything you need for time away with the fam.
As someone who loves snuggling up in matching PJs with my whole family, winter vacations are my absolute favorite. Is there anything better than bottomless coffee while watching the morning sun melt the snow? With winter well and truly upon us, a lot of my friends have been asking me what they should pack to go on vacation with their kids. Now that I’m a mama of three, my packing list has gotten a lot longer, however, a few things have remained the same.
It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, the hardest part of traveling is keeping everyone entertained, fed and well rested. If you’re traveling somewhere cold, there’s the added battle of keeping them entertained indoors. I love games that can be played with in different ways and can cater to any age. If you’re in a car or boarding a long haul flight, it’s wise to have easy to pack and non-toxic craft supplies. Let’s be honest – being able to color while waiting for food to arrive at a restaurant or a flight delay can and will LITERALLY save the day.
Aside from packing games and appropriate weather clothing like warm hats, mittens and jackets, it’s also a good idea to have items on hand for first-aid and fuss-busting like a pediatric thermometer. While we all do our best to stay healthy, babies and kids tend to get sick – especially on vacation!
