14 Layering Picks for Cold Weather
With the cooler weather just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about your tot’s winter wardrobe. If you’re like us – parents who want easy to mix and match pieces that are great for layering – then you’re going to want to see the latest arrivals from My Little Cozmo, Mini A Ture, Búho, Appaman and The Animals Observatory.
During the winter months kids often spend a lot of time going in and out of heated classrooms, after school activities and play dates. One second they’re freezing cold and the next they’re boiling and on the verge of a literal and figurative meltdown.
As parents who don’t want to sacrifice style for practicality, we’ve been all about layering recently. Not only does it provide warmth, it provides a relaxed look that’s perfect for kids on the go. Layering is also great for climates that like to give you all four seasons in a day, traveling and/ or dressing up your tot’s daytime look for a nice dinner out.
When choosing clothing that’s easy to layer, we like to opt for 100% cotton for the bottom layers. Unlike synthetic materials, it provides more breathability and won’t cause your child to get sweaty and uncomfortable. We also love wool or wool-blend jumpers and cardigans that work well over collared shirts because they can instantly make your tot’s outfit a bit more refined and provide the warmth they need when the mercury drops.
And of course – you also can’t go wrong with a button down over a classic white tee. The new arrivals from Malbi, Hart + Land, My Little Cozmo, Búho, Appaman, Mini A Ture, Petite Hailey, and The Animals Observatory are all amazing, but here are The Tot’s nine picks that are great for layering.
