When Casiana and Jordi became parents, they decided to move to the mountains of Catalunya so that they could immerse their children in the simplicity of Mother Nature. With a belief that kids need just the right amount of tools and toys to inspire open-ended play, the couple created, Grapat, a company that makes wooden figurines designed to spark curiosity, hone fine motor skills and power hours of imaginative play.

Colour sorting tree 🌈🌴 . . Branches sway and wobble as rings are popped on the tree. The higher up the branch is on the tree, the more wobbly it is! 🌴 . . This was made by disassembling the Grimm's Assembly ballrun and stacking Grapat rings up the central pole as spacers for each of the coloured 'branches'. . It's a fairly simple set up that my almost 2 yo enjoyed. The top branch can be a little tricky as it is the wobbliest. Grapat Rainbow Wall for #grimmsrecreationweekend . A very long time ago, I saw @joguines_grapat post a giant wall of stacked rings and I was in awe 😍 of its beauty, precision and the way the colours blend 🌈 . Here's my re-creation of it, changing the horizontal lines of colours to vertical hehe, just a subtle difference. I had big ideas, but not having enough rings/coins makes it tricky to pull off complex patterns, plus, I have an orange coin that has been missing for months 😬 I'm still holding hope it'll just appear one day! 🙏 .
