Laura McLaughlin is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist with experience working with children, adolescents, and parents. Laura received her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from The University of Texas at Austin, and her Master of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas. Laura gained experience working with victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse at The Family Place and the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center providing play therapy and activity therapy to help children and teens heal from past abuse and trauma. Laura has also worked in private practice and community mental health settings in Dallas and while living in New York City. She is passionate about helping parents connect with their children and decreasing the stigma around mental health and mental illness through the use of therapy.
