From working at renowned New York institutions such as Berkshire Farms and The Astor Home for Children to Colorado’s Littler Center and Namaqua Center in residential treatment for children, Dr. Sheryl Ziegler has dedicated her entire career to working with children and families. She is the founder and Managing Director of The Child and Family Therapy Center, a thriving private practice in Denver where she and her team have helped thousands of families over the past decade. She gives statewide presentations on a variety of child development related topics, provides expert court testimony on child development issues, conducts testing and assessment and is a top referral partner for many of Denver’s physicians and schools.
On a national level, Dr. Ziegler has contributed to articles in The Washington Post, The New York Times, NPR, TIME and more. Her upcoming articles will be featured Redbook, Yoga Journal and Better Homes and Garden. Dr. Ziegler is a contributor to CNN’s Headline News Network on topics related to motherhood and parenting. She has also been featured on The Today Show with Megyn Kelly, The Katie Couric Show and The Jenny McCarthy Show. She is the author of the award winning book Mommy Burnout: how to reclaim your life and raise healthier children in the process.
Locally, Dr. Ziegler is a regular NBC, FOX and CW news contributor both in the morning and afternoon news and has been interviewed on numerous radio shows and podcasts. Dr. Ziegler founded and teaches a mother-daughter class called Start With The Talk which she says is one of the most rewarding endeavors she has taken on. She is the mother of three children, is a Girl Scouts Leader and a Girls on the Run coach.
